| CIBI Brings the FIDS Network to GBG Engage 2026 Manila | Fraud is connected. Our defense should be too. As financial fraud becomes increasingly sophisticated and interconnected, greater visibility and collaboration across institutions are becoming essential to building stronger defenses. At GBG Engage 2026 Manila, CIBI joined financial services leaders and industry professionals for conversations on the evolving fraud landscape, regulatory developments, technology, and new approaches to fraud prevention. Representing CIBI, Edith Roberto, Head of Credit Bureau Products and Partnerships, presented the Fraud Intelligence and Data Sharing (FIDS) Network and highlighted the role of collaborative fraud intelligence in helping institutions identify suspicious patterns earlier, gain greater visibility into connected risks, and respond more effectively. Developed by CIBI and FinTech Alliance.PH, the FIDS Network enables participating institutions to responsibly share fraud intelligence within a trusted framework, helping create a broader view of fraud activity that may not be visible to organizations operating individually. During its Proof of Concept, the FIDS Network screened more than 100,000 applications, demonstrating the potential of shared intelligence to strengthen fraud detection and support a more coordinated response across the financial ecosystem.
