CIBI Information Inc. and the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to strengthen public-private collaboration against financial fraud and reinforce the country’s defenses against increasingly sophisticated cybercrime threats.
Under the agreement, the organizations will explore how legally shareable records can be incorporated into the broader framework of the Fraud Intelligence Data Sharing (FIDS) Network, an industry-wide initiative established by CIBI and Fintech Alliance.PH to enable institutions to securely share fraud intelligence, identify suspicious activity, and strengthen defenses.
This reflects the growing recognition that fraud prevention requires a more coordinated and intelligence-driven approach. By expanding the flow of information across the ecosystem, participating institutions will be better equipped to identify emerging threats and strengthen fraud detection capabilities.
